New Year's Intentions

Hello 2012!

So it’s been a year now since I started this blog. How has my blog affected my life so far? I’m not sure, but it keeps me motivated enough to accomplish something every week. I did trying to do something exciting or go somewhere interesting every weekend - though only a few managed to get onto this blog. I just want to share with others the things I see or feel at certain point of my life. And make connection with people with the same passion. A place where I seek for solutions and inspirations and nothing else.

I won’t call this as New Year resolution because if I put it that way, it will never work. This is my… err New Year Intention, yeah. So this year I hope that I can  want to:

1. Grad! This! I really really hope that I can finish my thesis writing soon and grad this year! Then hopefully get a better job! Amin~

2. Make more saving (read: stop shopping unnecessary thing).

3. Drink less coffee - You know how they say coffee have a good effect on your health like help reduce the chance to get cancer/Alzheimer/stroke, prevent depression and energy boast? The later is why I think I need my daily coffee. I drank coffee at least once a day before going to sleep (okay, I need some energy boaster just in case I get a nightmare, so I got some spare energy to fight whatever it was in my dream, kekekek). Normally, I had coffee in between my work, before and after lunch. Now, just how much caffeine have I consumes this past one year? I’m not saying that I’m gonna stop drinking coffee (I don’t think I’m ready for that, yet :D) but I need to reduce it a bit. Say, one cup a day?

4. Start exercise - Thin doesn’t mean that you don’t need to exercise! Exercise is very important for everyone to keep ones in a good health. I know this fact but still, I never exercise (only during a time when I get so motivated to have a flat stomach that I start do sit up for, err…. two weeks? :PPP). Okay, dancing to your favorite songs in front of the mirror doesn’t count as exercising. So many excuses I’ve created to avoid exercising: balik lambat from work lah, hari nampak cam nak hujanlah, takde kawan nak jogging sama-samalah, bla bla bla. So now that I think I should start to live a healthy life, what is more convenience for a lazy buzy girl like me than to start running on a treadmill? I actually can easily do this every day. Getting off late from work? The treadmill isn’t going anywhere! Hari nak hujan? No problem, you can still run thousand miles even if it was raining heavily outside! No one to accompany? Ei, hello, mana ada orang lari on treadmill beramai-ramai. Okay? No more excuses! Now I need a pair of good running shoes. And a good sport outfit. Looks like there is some shopping to do, hooray!

5. Cure my sinusitis - Because I keep ignoring my sinus, now I think it’s getting worst. Normal flu medicines (Clarinase, Clarityne, Loratadine) are ineffective to me. I’ve tried the smoke treatment before but it makes me suffocated. Anyone knows other great way to treat sinus? I don’t care if it is internal and external cure, as long as it work and easy for me to do the treatment by myself. Came across this article and maybe it worth a try? And there is a lot of pills/supplement like Ezibreathe.  Anyone has tried it before? Does it work?

6. Make as many posts to this blog as possible :D And from that, I hope to make new friends with the same passion and interest. And of course build beautiful memories with the existing one~

So that’s all I can think for now.  I hope this year will be a great one for me and for you too. Be good people!

p/s: those cartoons are only meant for jokes. I don't hate New Year's Resolution that much~

Salam Ramadan

Peace upon you my dear reader~

Alhamdulillah, it’s the sixth day of Ramadan and I hope that everyone have had an effortlessness experience with the slight changing in your daily routine. Like every year, Ramadan brings me a special feeling of emotional excitement and spiritual passion. It’s the chance I get to bring myself closer to the Allah s.w.t by doing the obligations. This is the month to strengthening my willpower and seeking forgiveness and also the time to reflect myself…

And talking about reflecting myself, last night, I went to perform Tarawih prayer in our small community surau. So being my first time going to community surau, I smiled when I entered the woman’s area. The surau has the usual green and mustard carpet that reminds me of SMAKL’s surau! I almost cry while listening to the zikir before Isya’ prayer. Just how much I missed having to perform prayer in jema’ah like this. Back then, I used to rebel against the school law that make it a compulsory for us to pray at surau for every prayer time. Well, we won’t miss the water till it’s gone right? T__T

Anyway, it’s my first Ramadan since I started this blog. I am truly grateful to be given a chance to go through another Ramadan. I wished to increase my devotion (insyaAllah) to thank Him for all His blessing, although I know it will never be enough to thank Him for the boundless benefaction He had bestowed me with throughout my life. Thank you Allah!

Ramadan Kareem

And so I hope that you guys will have a beautiful Ramadan as well. Don’t let it waste. This might be our last Ramadan - who knows we may be there or not to experience it again next year? So let’s take this opportunity to gain from the special blessings and forgiveness throughout this month. Let's make it the best ever!

Happy fasting everyone!

The Day You Went Away

Last Sunday, I’ve sent my parent to KLIA for umrah.  I know I shouldn’t be worry because they went with Pak Lang and Wan Yang who already been there, but I couldn’t help it. But I’m also grateful that they’ve been giving this chance to perform this minor pilgrimage. I know this will help them a lot before their names are listed for Haji. It was an emotional morning to begin with. I tried so hard not to cry when dad recites the Azan at home. I don't know how to describe the feeling, it's so beautiful. The journey to KLIA is quiet and peaceful. I tried not to think much about how I will survive for these two weeks without seeing them.

Luckily, when we reach there, Pak Ngah’s family was already there. He’s truly a mood maker - always with his jokes and keep everyone happy.  I momentarily forgot that I was about to be apart from mum and dad. Until they were about to enter the departure hall and gosh, I need to skip this part cause I don’t feel like writing up my feeling at that time here. Just know that there were a lot of crying involves, okay? (And my cousin, Iqbal was happily capturing the moment with all those horrible-crying faces >.<)

Fake-crying face :D
With Dad <3
Dad, Pak Ngah and Pak Teh
A bunch of cute peoples!
It's almost impossible to take a good picture with this boy around >.<
With cousins.

So the two weeks of living alone life have started! I missed them terribly. Keket looked depressed. She’s been standing at the stairs waiting for mum because that was what she normally does. I really hope that I can keep myself out of trouble for the time being (though something REALLY big had happen on the way back from KLIA T__T).

I wish that everything went smooth for my parent and pray for their safety. Just can’t wait to have them back in my life again!  I love you mum, dad!

Happy New Year

Ah, I’ve missed the 010111! I haven’t been able to update this blog on New Year since it has been another busy weekend - away from internet. As December is the month of wedding, I got two weddings invitation but I can only attend one T__T. I didn’t go out for the countdown celebration. Just content being at home watching New Year movie but I didn’t miss the fireworks. I can watch it from my balcony. It was so pretty~

On Saturday, me and zurazura went to IKEA to buy some stuff for home. Going to IKEA has always make me go jiggy wiggy even if I’m not buying anything. Normally, I will spend more time in the kitchen section because I always dream to have a big squeaky-clean with build-in-cabinets kitchen (though it does not imply that I’m a good cook or anything). Bedroom section give me a thought that I need to do some sort of spring cleaning. There’s a lot of thing that doesn't fit in my wardrobe anymore and just had to go. I believed that I only wear half of my clothes most of the time. There are even items that have never been worn in the past 4 years! Gosh, wardrobe cleaning gets on to the top of my to-do list for this weekend~

We had lunch at Manhattan Fist Market. I ordered the flaming shrimp with rice without fear for my allergic to seafood. Haha. Served me right! Later when I got back home, my whole body was itching! And I was sneezing throughout the night. I swore that it was the longest night I’ve ever had!

Anyway, I hope that 2011 will be another great year for everyone. I hope I'll accomplish more and lead to a successful life. So everyone, take care of yourself and please be happy~

Y.E.W! (Year End Wish)

They said I’m a gadget freak. Well maybe I am. After all the vow and pledge that I will never buy anything else after I got my iPod and bb, now I already craving for something else. I want a camera!

So I guessed it all started yesterday. Me and my sibs went out to KL to have a quick shopping, and on the way back to the car park, we saw this restaurant with a nice wall and thought, ‘Hey, why don’t we take pictures?’

So I took out my iPod and we took several pictures, and fast forward to the moment when I view the pictures on my laptop at home and that was when I got very disappointed. Why? Because the pics are so blur!

And I do realize that I NEED to have a camera - at least the compact one if not a DSLR (Ipod just suitable for my cam-ho moment!). I’m so into photography even though I’m not the type who will wake up at six in the morning just to catch the sun rise. I just love taking pictures and I appreciate beautiful artistic one.

So I browse the net a bit for a so-called comparing the specs -hell I must be a genius if I understand all the terms- and immediately fall in love with this Sony Cybershot since it comes in hot colour. I was quite sure that I want to have this until my colleague gave me a half an hour lecture about ‘Why I should get myself a DSLR’ that I was torn apart! And since it’s the end of the year, I’m pretty sure there’ll be an extravaganza offer for Xmas, I don’t know if I’ll end up buying both! XD I wish!
