Two Can Keep A Secret If One Of Them Is Dead

This was meant to be posted before my PD post but the sea excites me. So I've been wanting to shout it out to the world that I had already passed my viva on 29th November. It went okay-lah. I didn’t expect to spend more than one hour for Q&A session! There were lots of questions, some I can answer and some I couldn’t. Not always on the technical part but more on general knowledge, which I have to know more than what is in my field. It was scary! Anyway, I'm so glad that it’s over and  now I can blog all I can! (look at me, how optimistic!)

So I’ve been spending some time watching this mesmerizing series, Pretty Little Liars. Watching it straight for a week from the very first episode of season one till this Halloween episode; which the production of PLL screw my happiness by leaving me hanging on the most awesome episode ever! And I could only watch the next episode on January 8th, 2013. And that’s about three weeks from now. Anyone feels my frustration here?

For those who had no idea what PLL is about, let me summarized it for you a little. Well, the story is about four girls (Aria Montgomery, Hanna Marin, Spencer Hastings and Emily); whose becomes friend because of Alison. Alison turns them from average to popular students; share a huge secret with each one of them to make them feels special. They follow her lead even though they knew she wasn’t necessarily the kind of girl everyone like. But then one night, Alison goes missing. No one knows what really happen to her. One year later, the girls begin receiving text messages from a mysterious person using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. At first they think its Alison herself, but after the police found her body, the girls realize that someone else knows their secrets—including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew. Yes, it’s like I know what you did last summer meets the gossip girls – isn’t that thrilling? :DDD

I really love how that each characters have their own flaw. It’s like I couldn’t pick my favorite character at all. To be honest, I don’t think I could get along with Spencer in real life but her character is so quick and strong and honest, I just can’t hate her! She’s my favorite queen control! Hanna is actually a sweet girl to begin with. She’s actually the only one who was disturbed by all the bullies Alison done. And she’s a great friend (even though it could be her being stupid) for what she’s done for Lucas and Mona. Emily Field is the most beautiful girl. She reminds me a lot of Maya Karin. And I like Aria when she’s not spending time with Ezra. She can be funny sometimes. I just think that Aria’s storyline is getting boring - she keep going back and forth with her relationship with Ezra. I hope there’ll be something in store for us when PLL makes a comeback. (Warning: Spoiler ahead)

One of the Spencer's awesome moment :DD

But the most fun part is there's a bunch of hot guys always the speculations/theories about who is A (or in A’s team) after each episode. You’ll get suspicious on everyone, including the four girls because everyone is hiding something from someone. It shocked me to learn that Mona was behind this and now that it was revealed that a bunch of people might be working for A (A could be one person or a team) and Toby is part of Team A. But I refused to believe Toby is totally evil. I keep my eyes on Jason, Wren and even Ezra, heh. Those are on my A-list. The ending might not make any sense but so far, I love the plot.

Well, to those who have never watch PLL yet, you better watch now. You have a month to catch up with the series. Happy watching!

Put Your Hands Up!

I’m not a ‘hottest’ to begin with, so when I purchased 2PM’s concert tickets for me and Linda, I almost couldn’t believe it. I’ve always been into K-pop since school – which was 10 years ago – but have never been to any of their concert or fans meeting.  I bought the cheapest one (cheapest also not so cheap) just to have ‘experience’ cause I quite dislike the idea of being around extreme fans who constantly screaming their lung out throughout the concert (evident from countless of fancams on youtube). Moreover, they are not my favorite kpop band.

L to R: Wooyoung, Taecyeon, Nickhun, Junsu, Junho and Changsung.

So it was a free seating, so fans were running/rushing to get the seat with best view. Brought Sammy with me but the security said I couldn’t bring him inside and asked me to go to the lost and found counter. They told me to leave the battery, which really upset me, because now I only have my BB. Anyway, when we got ourselves into the concert area, it was almost fully occupied except for area at the far left of the stage. It was closer to the extended stage but the view to the center stage was restricted. And since most of their performance with full choreograph was done at the center, I can only see them on the big screen.

View from my seat.

Now please excuse my excessive of unnecessary squealing from this point onwards. Here is the list of the songs they performed that night and what I can remember the most.
  1. Hot - A great opening song, straight away set the stage on fire. I always thought that this song has  a bit of Big Bang's flavor to it but they really do rock it.
  2. Electricity
  3. Hands Up – Gosh, this performance was amazing! The most happening stage because of the simple repetitive movement in the choreography that everyone can simply follow and makes the performance so enjoyable.
  4. Noyege Michossoda/Kidaridaga (Remix) - I am super duper happy that they perform Noyege Michossoda since they never perform this songs before.
  5. Junho and Wooyoung stage
  6. I Can’t - A nice ballad song for a change. They sat on the chair while performing this. Since they all have change into semi casual clothes except for Junho and Wooyoung, the two boys decided to change on stage. Ohoho, I cannot!
  7. Give It To Me
  8. Dance2Night - My least favorite stage. Simply because they were dancing with girls in inappropriate way. Humphhh!
  9. Ment - They say their greeting here, thank God that Nickhun and Taec can speak fluent English so we can understand most of what was happening. Surprisingly, Junsu can speak English very well too. There was some funny moment of Changsung vs Junho speaking English, randomly throwing each other a ‘What? Where? Why?’ questions. While waiting for Nickhun and Taec to change for their stage, Junsu asked Wooyong to show his free-style dance)
  10. My Valentine (Nickhun and Taecyeon stage)
  11. Changsung solo stage - He did an action skit. Reminds me so much of Rain's Ninja Assassin.
  12. I’ll Be Back - Kick ass song!
  13. I Hate You
  14. Back To You
  15. Junsu solo stage – He sang Alive! This is my first time watching him perform this song and he was doing all the rap by himself. Awesome Junsu!
  16. Without You
  17. Only You – They gave away flowers during this performance. I wished that I can be at the rock pit to receive those.
  18. 10 Points Out of 10 – Another happening performance! During the chorus, everyone would hold up their hands up as if were participated in the performance. Also, Taec give Nickhun's ass a full stroke here, kekekek.
  19. Ment – They announced that this will be their last stage for the night. They took turn to say their last word and Junho tried some Malay ‘Saya akan balik lagi’ (I’ll be back again) and he sounded like Chinese speaking Malay! So adorable.
  20. Again and Again
  21. I’m Your Man - Glad that they even perform their japanese single here!
  22. Don’t Stop Can’t Stop - Kick ass song!
  23. Heartbeat - Full choreography with the piramid formation. Awesome.
  24. Thank You - I was overflowing with emotion. I'm just glad that they didn't cry.
  25. Encore (Hands Up/10 Points Out of 10) – the most fun part of the show because they started to play and do fan service. Nickhun even took the fans’ camera and help them snap photo of him! And last but not least, Changsung walked on the stage half naked!
They sang most of the song they had performed in music shows except for Give Me The Light. Too bad they didn't perform Maja since I really like that song.

Fans hold up the light stick throughout the concert; a beautiful sight.

They always said that there was a different between younger fans and noona (older) fans. Younger fan always the expressive one, screaming like there’s no tomorrow when they saw their idol, noona fan just watch from afar, calmed and composed. And since I’m a noona to almost every K-pop band exist now, I have to say I pretty much agree with the statement (yes, yes, easy for me to say this since I only see them on my laptop screen). BUT! Seeing them upfront is different! I suddenly got very excited! Every time they came to our side of the stage, I practically going crazy and screaming their names and doing the heart sign and waving like mad. Urghhh, screw the noona title! Oppa, saranghae!

Taecyeon!

Nickhun! Khun's family attended the concert too.
Lucky fans took picture with them.

Since I haven’t decided my favorite member yet (though I have this thing for Junsu and Nickhun), so I told Linda before the concert started, that whoever come to our side of the stage the most will be my fave and I will ship him forever~ So guess who came the most? At first Junho came a lot to our side but in the end, it was Junsu who came the most! Are we destined to be together or sumthing? :DDDDD

Kim Junsu a.k.a Jun K

So the big question is, have I turned into a Hottest after the concert? Ah, almost :PPP I'll monitor them closely after this. Right, now I should leave you guys with  fancams of my fave performance of that night. Enjoy~

p/s: Hottest is the name of 2PM's fanclub.

Those Glee-full Days

It’s no secret, I watched Glee. Been trying to avoid it for the whole first season because there's no hot guys on the show I thought it was lame. I started to watch it from the very first episode after I saw Brittany doing cover for Britney’s I’m a Slave For You. And I got totally hooked! And I just didn’t care about all those WTF-ness that happen in its plot (last week’s episode Quinn was all over Sam and the next she change her mind and want to get back to Finn?) because sometimes it’s really nonsense. I watched it for fun because the way they make it happen is really enjoyable.

This is out of nowhere but whatever... Here is my top 10 moments of season 1 and 2, in no particular order.

1.       Santana crying her heart out.

Santana is known for her bitchy attitude. For the most part of the show, Santana was in full-on bitch mode – being frank as she’s like to put it. (Santana Lopez: Just because I hate everybody, doesn't mean they have to hate me too). But when the frankness finally come back to bite her, she appear just cool but once the class is over, she’s balling her eyes out.

“I just try to be really, really honest with people when I think that they suck.”

2.       Puck trying to distract Sue.

Puck attempts to distract Sue in order to get Artie to spike the Prom’s punch. Despite the WTPuck plan (which failed miserably) that dance Puck makes when he’s trying to distract Sue is really cute. Well, at least it manages to get Sue’s attention from the punch for a moment.

3.       Sue and Will arguments

Sue is the best one-liners on the show because her scene is most likely having a really amusingly offending verbal sparring with Will. One of my fave would be when she called Will "SpongeHair SquareChin" – awesome! And her never-ending jokes on Will’s hair, ‘As a going-away present, here’s a spray bottle of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter — keep that head merkin looking buttery fresh.’ And  ‘I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help, but picturing birds laying sulfurous eggs in there and I find it disgusting.’ – Ouchh!

4.       When the boys wearing the wig in Hairography episode. The hair itself already got me rolling into deep on the floor.

5.       The whole 'Comeback' a.k.a Bieber Fever episode

Not because I love Bieber or his songs, but because this episode contains the most hysterical scene ever! Or maybe because it got something to do with the hair.  It started with Sam singing Bieber's Baby (seriously, his version is so much listenable) and making the girls melt. It’s really funny to watch how the boys were looking pretty lost when the girls started to enjoy Sam’s show. And because the boys of Glee are having some off-time with their girls, they decide there is only one way to win back the love and admiration of their gals, is through the Bieber Experience – Bieber Fever! So the next they, the boys (minus Finn) walk into the class with Bieber hair. But Puck just win it all!

Gotta love Sue's line while watching Sam's performance, “I gotta get that girl on my Cheerios.”

6.       Can’t Touch This

Love love love this performance so much. Artie, Tina, Kurt, Mercedes and Brittany bust some move in the library to get some bad reputation in order to be famous. Instead of being cool, I think they look ridiculously cute. And Artie rapping is so so cool!

'Can't Touch This'

7.       Will trying to seduce Sue

Gosh, I can’t even watch this because it’s embarrassing.  It’s was one of Will’s get up for revenge on Sue – that is to make Sue fall in love with him. It was the meanest thing I thought Will would never do but the scene! It was hilarious! I could never blame Sue for making Will’s life suffer after that!

8.       The Brittany ‘take it away’

Actually, if I were to be bias, my fave moment of Glee will be just  Brittany (played by Heather Morris) and nothing else. She just plain funny with her stupid one liners ("dolphins are just gay sharks") and her left hand/right hand confusion. But the best moment of her would be during the Hairography episode when Will asks her to show how to spin their head. After some explaination, Will turn to Brittany.

Will: Brittany, take it away.
Brittany: *Confused* Take what away?

And then she went with her own explanation, ‘So, Hairography. It works best when you pretend like you're getting tasered. It's like cool epilepsy.’ LOL.

9.       Sue is angry

When Sue isn’t busy verbally attacking Will’s hair or chin, she will make me laugh with her epic tantrum that involves throwing everything that’s she can find – that’s includes the students. Okay, maybe watching people got angry weren’t something that we should cherish, but this is an exception. Someone should just send her to the angry management course or something.

10. And finally, my fave moment would be when the glee club is performing a fast track number with intense choreography (and yes, this means when Mike Chang or Brittany get the camera focus on just them) because I love watching people dance. The memorable scene is when they did the flash mob scene in the mall for Barbra Streisand dance – that was totally fun!

Now, I just can't wait for the season 3. I hope they will give Puckerman to sing Robbie William's Rock DJ and my life will be complete, heheh. And get Artie out of that wheel!

Alrighty, till the next update! Take care you guys~

Auuummmm!

Went to watch Harimau Malaya against Singapore match for the 2nd leg of World Cup Qualifier at Bukit Jalil stadium last Thursday night. Yup, it was 1-1 draw which means, Singapore advance to the third round by 6-4 aggregate. I was one of 85000 peoples who believe that we can make it through this time around. It was sad and disappointing that we’re now out of the game.

Outside Stadium Bukit Jalil

We were already had disadvantage even before the game - Nor Shahrul was still injured, Aidil wasn’t fit enough to lead the defense team (he did play but only to limp off midway through the first half) and Safiq had to miss this game for getting red card in the first round. Heh, I wasn’t in the right place to say anything about our players since I only watched a couple of match. But as stated by the press, we were lacking in defense – there’s no doubt about it. Though, Khairul Fahmi definitely is an outstanding goalkeeper. His appearances never disappoint me and he proved it again that night, saving those dangerous attempts, one after another. Safee Sali did well as always by scoring our only one goal.  I’ve came to love Amirul Hadi and S. Kunanlan as they keep on ‘be there’ for the team.

The game could be fun (and maybe help making the losing less bitter) if Singapore players weren’t so such pain in the…. I think both Malaysia players and fans were getting furious at Singapore players for trying to waste time. Every “injured” player was stretchered off out the field but seconds later they would jump back up and re-enter the pitch. Like what the heck? They throw their antics with every push and contact they had with Malaysia team. That was so freaking annoying. Humph! Anyway, what's done is done. Although we lost, I’m still proud of the boys. I hope they'll do well in the future~

The Tigers! Auuummmm!

Aaaannnddd…. it was my first time watching soccer match in stadium and I must say that I love and hate it, both at the same time. Watching the game live is something new to me as I can see clearly the whole field (yeah, I got the best spot in the world!). There’s a big screen for closer view on the players. What I dislike about it was that, there was no playback during the game. Since everything happened so fast, I couldn’t see/missed the details of incident, thus haltering me from making analysis whether it was a foul or not (cheh, ayat budget :P).

And the crowd! Seeing the stadium full with more than 85,000 people wearing black and yellow was simply a spectacular view. Cheering was fun, I had my voice at the top of my lung shouting ‘MALAYSIA!’ throughout the game. And every time the ball went past quarter of the field towards Singapore goal, everyone would stand up spontaneously - like a reflect action. And sat down again when nothing happen. But people on the front seat always took forever to sit back again, so people at the back will start cheering, ‘DUDUK! DUDUK! DUDUK!’ It was really funny. But my favorite memory was when we were singing our national anthem. To see whole Malaysian – Malay, Chinese, Indian - come together to support the national soccer team. It was a beautiful sight.

With the crowd before the game started.

I want a jersey too!

Me, my sister Mieyra and Dila, and Hash.

For those first-timer, who want to experience watching any match in stadium, let me share some handy tips/information that might help you.

  1. Wear a comfortable clothes and shoes. The atmosphere will be slightly hot so you don’t want to be drowning in your sweats. Cotton material always the best.
  2. If you buy an open seat ticket, try to enter the stadium as early as you can to get seat with the best view. If you can find exit 2N, that area got a nice view~
  3. Bring drinking water in your own container. Mineral water in plastic bottle is not allowed to bring into the stadium.
  4. Avoid bringing children under 5 years old because stadium is a REALLY crowded place. It can become extremely dangerous especially during entering the narrow gate where people were shoving and pushing.
  5. Putra LRT is the fastest way to get to Bukit Jalil but you have to endure the pushing and shoving. Traffic was pretty hectic if you opt to drive. It took us an hour just to get out of the parking lot~
Yeah, hope that helps.

Expecto Patronum

Last night me and my sisters went to watch the final installment of the Harry Potter. I wasn't into these wizard movies at first but tried to watch the Potter series around last year and quickly fall in loves with it. 10 years after the first film, looking back - err, to those who really the true follower - it must be something that are worth waiting for.

What could be more heartbreaking than to watch beautiful Hogwarts fall to pieces. My emotion was running high throughout the final battle scene. Despite all the chaotic and the restless-ness of my mind that keeps thinking, 'Will Harry die?', I just could not stop admiring the special effect that give me a full satisfaction to my visual thrill.

And the truth been told. Just what I need for a closure – to understand why everything has to be done. Because this is the last one, it has to be emotionally touch (well, I cry a river kot mase Dobby mati T__T). So it was Snape memories of the past really got me there. The truth tugs my heartstrings a bit - maybe because I keep on doubting Snape in the past. And the last scene shows Potter, Hermione and Ron sending their daughters and sons to Hogwarts somehow brings a bittersweet feeling - to reminiscence when Potter first come to Hogwarts, the friends and the creatures that had been with him throughout the journey. It saddened me now that we're never gonna see Potter again~

Now, how I wished I was at the world premiere of the final film in the epic saga. Radcliffe, Rupert and Emma walked the red carpet for the last time as Potter, Hermione and Ron. Fans from around the world have gathered at the London’s Trafalgar Square to catch a glimpse of the stars. Though it's not my thing (to be in crowded place just to see my fave actor/actress) but it must have been awesome to dress in sorcerer’s capes, wizard robes and waving magic wands and speak nonsense.

Last word, thank you J.K Rowling for creating such an awesome world!

And oh! I think I'm in love with Emma Watson. She's so pretty. She's rocking the short hair and her dress is so lovely. Can't wait to see her in other movie in which her name wasn't Hermoine~ :P

You Can Stand Under My Umbrella

Hello people~

Nak cerita pasal Merong Mahawangsa which me and my friend Linda (plus Mieyra who pow me for a ticket at last minute) went to watch about erm, 2 weeks ago? Well, I’ve been so lazy buzy lately, tak sempat nak update blog. Pastu bila tengok entry kat blog orang, rase nak post something but sangat malas got no time la. And bila dah malas nak cepat, I have to use bahasa rojak cause my vocab selalu campur2, what comes to mind first la okay?

So we went to watch Merong Mahawangsa @ Sunway Piramid. I of course, know nothing about Merong, heard of him but not quite remember what was the significant of him that had to do with Malayan history. So I sat there in the cinema with nothing to expect except for a good computer graphic cause last time I heard that KRU spend couple of millions just for the CGI.

And it did surprise me on how well the movie was made.  I mean, if it wasn’t because of the classic malay narration in the beginning, I would think that I was watching an international movie. I mean, the effect is really that great! And I think Stephen Rahman is so perfect for Merong role! No matter which language he speaks – classic malay, english, He really did great job to makes the Merong character so loveable – I still couldn’t believe that Merong is a ‘go with the flow’ type of guy. Sarcastic and funny and charming – adoiyai, ku telah jatuh cinta. Not to mention that he’s bodylicious too! Hot giler weih~

And of course, there’s still a few things that can be improve such like; I still have a problem with the dubbing system in Malay film, it was not sync perfectly. Why do we need dubbing? Or if they could asked Kabir Baktiar to advice on the cinematography mesti lagi dasyat. Or perhaps they could give a less-funny wig for Dato  Rahim Razali to wear? Because the whole cinema laugh every time Dato Rahim Razali appear on the screen padahal tak kelakar pun time tu :D. But it wasn’t that bad so it didn’t affect the film so much.

Anyway, if you guys haven’t watched this yet, please do, because it’s awesome and spectacular, you don’t want to miss it. This was something that we can be proud of.

p/s: It felt weird if I didn't share any pic, but since I didn't snap any picture at that time, so I'll end this post with piccas from the next day trip when me and Linda went to Putrajaya to see hot-air balloon festival (but we didn't get to see any balloon, now how weird is that?). I bough a color-spectrum umbrella, wee~

Self-taken pic with Linda
With abang jual payung at the bazaar :D

Under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh
