New Year's Intentions

Hello 2012!

So it’s been a year now since I started this blog. How has my blog affected my life so far? I’m not sure, but it keeps me motivated enough to accomplish something every week. I did trying to do something exciting or go somewhere interesting every weekend - though only a few managed to get onto this blog. I just want to share with others the things I see or feel at certain point of my life. And make connection with people with the same passion. A place where I seek for solutions and inspirations and nothing else.

I won’t call this as New Year resolution because if I put it that way, it will never work. This is my… err New Year Intention, yeah. So this year I hope that I can  want to:

1. Grad! This! I really really hope that I can finish my thesis writing soon and grad this year! Then hopefully get a better job! Amin~

2. Make more saving (read: stop shopping unnecessary thing).

3. Drink less coffee - You know how they say coffee have a good effect on your health like help reduce the chance to get cancer/Alzheimer/stroke, prevent depression and energy boast? The later is why I think I need my daily coffee. I drank coffee at least once a day before going to sleep (okay, I need some energy boaster just in case I get a nightmare, so I got some spare energy to fight whatever it was in my dream, kekekek). Normally, I had coffee in between my work, before and after lunch. Now, just how much caffeine have I consumes this past one year? I’m not saying that I’m gonna stop drinking coffee (I don’t think I’m ready for that, yet :D) but I need to reduce it a bit. Say, one cup a day?

4. Start exercise - Thin doesn’t mean that you don’t need to exercise! Exercise is very important for everyone to keep ones in a good health. I know this fact but still, I never exercise (only during a time when I get so motivated to have a flat stomach that I start do sit up for, err…. two weeks? :PPP). Okay, dancing to your favorite songs in front of the mirror doesn’t count as exercising. So many excuses I’ve created to avoid exercising: balik lambat from work lah, hari nampak cam nak hujanlah, takde kawan nak jogging sama-samalah, bla bla bla. So now that I think I should start to live a healthy life, what is more convenience for a lazy buzy girl like me than to start running on a treadmill? I actually can easily do this every day. Getting off late from work? The treadmill isn’t going anywhere! Hari nak hujan? No problem, you can still run thousand miles even if it was raining heavily outside! No one to accompany? Ei, hello, mana ada orang lari on treadmill beramai-ramai. Okay? No more excuses! Now I need a pair of good running shoes. And a good sport outfit. Looks like there is some shopping to do, hooray!

5. Cure my sinusitis - Because I keep ignoring my sinus, now I think it’s getting worst. Normal flu medicines (Clarinase, Clarityne, Loratadine) are ineffective to me. I’ve tried the smoke treatment before but it makes me suffocated. Anyone knows other great way to treat sinus? I don’t care if it is internal and external cure, as long as it work and easy for me to do the treatment by myself. Came across this article and maybe it worth a try? And there is a lot of pills/supplement like Ezibreathe.  Anyone has tried it before? Does it work?

6. Make as many posts to this blog as possible :D And from that, I hope to make new friends with the same passion and interest. And of course build beautiful memories with the existing one~

So that’s all I can think for now.  I hope this year will be a great one for me and for you too. Be good people!

p/s: those cartoons are only meant for jokes. I don't hate New Year's Resolution that much~

This Girl Was Born

Just a quick update on my birthday celebration. Received a lot of warm wishes through FB and text message. Really had the urge to reply to everyone but it was too many~ so, I just wanna say thanks to everyone who remember, I really appreciate it~ I hope I’ll not forget yours!

Mum treated me to a birthday dinner at Sri Ayutthaya in Damansara Heights. I always have this silly cray cray for Thai food, so yeah. The place is nice and well decorated, totally Thai style. I love the food there, though it was quite pricey. I had Kerabu Squid, Fried Asparagus and Seafood Tom Yam. Before that we tried the appetizer called Miang Kham. It have various ingredients such as roasted coconut meat, ground roasted peanuts, slices of ginger, lime, onion and hot spicy chilies - which we had to wrap it in a leaf and topped with a sweet sauce. Aaandd.... I love the taste of it! Like I can have this forever! Okay, maybe not forever. Anyway, it was awesome and I really recommend this!

I also tried their Thab Thim Grob (dessert in coconut) but meh, it was lacking of everything that was supposed to be there. Because I often had this (there’s a Dr from Thailand at my workplace who is excellent in cooking, so we always order this desert when there was a farewell party) so for me, there was not enough sweetness in it and the chunk of the jackfruit was very little. Hmmm…. It is actually pretty easy to make, maybe I should try making it at home? We’ll see…

And here’s a few photos (too bad I didn’t bring Sam along and my BB is dead by the time the food come, so not many picture) taken by my dad (who is not very happy with his new camera, lol).

Time to learn some Thai

Happily trying the Miang Kham

With the waitress who were very friendly :DDD

With my beloved mum <3

Will be going to Sabah again tomorrow for a field trip (seriously, I’m too old for this haha). So until then, thanks for reading~ and ooh, Happy Deepavali to all my Indian friends :P

Baby Aydan

Okay, this is WAAAYYYYYYY long overdue. Went to visit Dina and her newborn baby, Zabi Aydan with Ju-are on the last week of raya. But I just had to post it because I decided to show the world that I am NO LONGER scare to hold a newborn baby!

Have any of you have this fear to hold newborn baby? It constantly scares me cause they seems breakable and so delicate. What if I really break them? So I just avoid holding them. But when I saw Aydan, I have the urge to try to hold him and Dina was so confident with me that she let me hold her baby. Though, I didn’t pick him up (cause I don’t know how to give his body full support) and well, it was Dina who put Aydan on my lap and gosh, the feeling is…. urm, wonderful :D

We girls chit chat up till almost midnight while Aydan sleeping peacefully on Dina’s lap (cute gile). We listened to Dina’s labor experience and preparation, making me both nervous and excited. I wonder if I can be a good mum…. though I should focus more on finding the daddy first, heh.

Cut!

Eheh, sebab takut jadi saya kena duduk :P

Ju-are ni kira dah expert, jadi dia boleh berdiri :DD

What do I do to make this fear go away? I just hope that when my time comes, this fear will be long gone~

Till the next update, bye~

Karma Is A Boomerang

Seriously guys, how do we get rid of fleas on a carpet?

I remember complaining to my mum that our new house have lots of mosquito. I kept on having more than 10 mosquito’s bite all over my leg. I used mosquito repellent but they won’t go away. They still bite me and it’s so irritating, I could punch someone for that. My mum said it was funny because she don’t get a single bite. How unfair!

Then last night as I was texting my friend, I sat on my bed, both feet on my fluffy carpet, I started to feel itchy again. So I looked down to my feet and saw these little creatures were jumping happily from the carpet onto my feet. They were many!

I think they’re from my cats but this fleas are smaller compared to the one on cat. The funny thing is, when I first bought the carpet, my cats won’t step on it as if the carpet will hurt them. They never come close to the carpet, no matter what. If I purposely bring them to the carpet, they will cling to me for dear life - will even scratch me if they have to. I thought it was funny how they trying too much to avoid the carpet, I should really put them on video (it must be karma for treating them that way~). Now I know the reason for their weird behavior and it scares me as much as it amused me.

So I vacuumed my carpet but the damn thing was still there. Should I throw away the carpet? But it’s so fluffy and pretty and awesome and fluffy and it makes my room look so pretty and comfy.  Bottom line, I don’t want to throw it away, okay? Should I spray something, like my cat’s flea shampoo? Will it ruin the material? Or should I send the carpet to laundry service? Will that makes them go away? Should I throw my cats instead? Lol. I cannot live without them. End of story.

I'll find a way to deal with this. If you guys have any idea how to get rid of this thing, let me know okay?

p/s: Should use this opportunity to introduce my cats :D.

Everyone, say hi to the lovely and motherly Keket aka Mama.

And this is arrogant-stuck up April (pronounce Air-Pill) aka Adik.

It's Gonna Be a Classy Polka Dot Skirt Baby!

Last Sunday was the most productive weekend I’ve ever had. Me and my sister Mira finally learn how to make a skirt! My mum used to sew our clothes when we were little and she made numerous pretty clothes for herself. So when I told her that I wanna learn, she was more than willing to teach.
So mum told us that we were going out for fabric shopping, so we quickly dress up and I decided to bring Sam along to the mall. And speaking of Sam, me and my sis actually did a little camho session secretly in our room despite the fact that my mum is already screaming for us to hurry up, kekekek.

I hope my sister will forgive me for putting that pictures of her because it’s so damn hillarious, I just have to laugh every time I look at it. It's kinda funny how we turned out wearing the same theme - stripes. It was obvious that she was copying me! I think it's a sibling thing, we thinks alike a lot~

And this is the fabric that I bought for my skirt. Mum paid for it (I love you mum!). The material is so soft - it feels just right the moment you touch it! And it's gonna be a classy polka dot skirt baby!

And it was also the day of Suzuki Cup final between Malaysia and Indonesia. My mum was yelling at us because we would dash from the sewing machine towards the TV every time my dad screamed, ‘Goaaaaaallllll!!!!!!!!!!!!’ and dancing like there’s no tomorrow, hehe. We really did well, didn't we? 3 goals to nil is really something they should be proud of. But let's not get arrogant just yet. Keep up the good work and beat them with 4 goals tomorrow, okay?

Anyway, my skirt is almost done. Probably I can wear it in the next update. Till then, that’s all for now~

I Wanna Call Him Bruno But...

I finally bought a Sony NEX-3 camera!

This whole week, I’ve been busy reading hands-on review for this camera. I’m in so much dilemma whether to go for NEX-5 because I was so tempted with the remote commander mode which not featured in NEX-3. But it's way over my budget, so I had to convince myself that NEX-3 pun okay jugak. Since the reason why I don’t want a dslr is because they’re so bulky and I’m afraid that I’ll be too lazy to take them around with me everywhere I go. So, I want to get the NEX with 16mm lens but they only have offer for the one with 18-55mm lens. I felt sorry for the sales boy; he had to be patient with my indecisive mind, debating myself about this (I couldn’t decide with the color too). So after about an hour at the shop, I settle down with NEX-3 with 18-55mm lens in white color. And again, convincing myself that all my handbags are all oversized, so I don’t have to worry about whether it’ll fit or not. Plus, it’s not heavy at all :D

So took it back, play with it a bit to get myself used to it and I must say that I really love it. The quality of the picture is awesome. So, no more I-want-a-camera whining after this (hopefully!). Now all I need is a will to get myself up early to catch a beautiful sun rise!

Anyway, here’s a few shots that I took yesterday!

the first shot evah~

Whatdaya think? Pretty cool huh? :D

And a friend of mine recommend this photoblog by Ustaz Azhar Idrus. His work is truly amazing. I fell in love with every single of his artwork. You guys should check it out, yo!

And oh! I’m gonna called my camera Sam Winchester for now until I got him a better name. I really wanna call him Bruno though, but my cousin named his fix-gear bike Bruno. But I like Bruno, Bruno sounds cool! Or should I try with Spanish name? Like Cassilas or Torres? Spanish names sound sexy, wee~

Till then, that's all for this update!

p.s: my ipod is called Key Baby. I don’t have a name for my bb yet, maybe I should call him Jjong or something cause they always together :D Yes, I'll go with Jjong for bb~
